We all have routine things we need to remember to do on a regular basis, whether daily, weekly, monthly, or at some other interval.
Sometimes we scramble to keep up with everything, and other times, we flat-out drop the ball on those repeating to-dos.
With repeating tasks, you can set any task to automatically repeat itself on whatever schedule you need—daily, weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly, every 6 months, or annually!
- Let’s say you’re a hospitality team leader who needs to restock the coffee supplies every month. Your repeating supply checklist task can show up on your calendar at the beginning of each new month. If all of the coffee supplies you need to check for are the same every month, you can even make a template of that task so you never have to think about what’s needed.
- Or maybe you’re an admin, wearing a lot of different hats and coordinating what’s happening around your church. You can set up repeating tasks to update the website and social media channels every Tuesday morning so the whole church is informed of your events.
- If you’re a worship leader, you can create a repeating task to schedule musicians at the same time every week and give yourself plenty of time to fill in any gaps.
- As a church planter, repeating tasks can help you remember to send a weekly newsletter, update the monthly budget, follow up with first-time visitors, or just take a break and go outside for a walk.
Tasks That Repeat on Your Schedule
However you use repeating tasks, you can also customize the cadence to fit your needs.
For example, if a task will temporarily be handled by someone else while you’re at a conference, you can re-assign just that one instance without affecting future repeating tasks.
Since the tasks themselves are repeating, you probably don’t want to have to fill out the task description every time. We’ve got you covered.
By choosing the Set default description checkbox, you can write one description that appears every time the task reoccurs. And if you need to tweak anything, you totally can!
Setting up repeating tasks can automate things and help you stay on top of your to-do list so nothing falls through the cracks.
