Workflows don’t live forever, and when they’ve outlived their usefulness, there hasn’t been an easy way to put them out of sight without deleting the workflow and all its associated card data. If your workflow has notes and history you’d like to preserve, your best option has been to prefix the name with something like “ZZZ-Super cool but old workflow,” so it always shows at the bottom of your list.

It’d be nice if you could archive workflows like how you archive forms.

Today, you can:

How it works:

  • Find the “Archive workflow” option in the Actions dropdown
  • Archiving a workflow means:
    • All incoming automations are paused, which means no new cards will be created.
    • Existing cards become read-only.
    • All steps, settings, expected response times, and snoozes are frozen.
  • Need to bring it back? Unarchive a workflow to pick up where you left off.
  • We’ve also added an “Archived workflows” quick filter on the main workflows list when needed.

We hope this makes your workflow lives a bit tidier. We have a few more workflow improvements coming your way, so keep watching this space!
