It’s been a few months since we released our beta of Universal Printing, and we’re now excited to officially release it as the best option for every church. If you haven’t heard about Universal Printing yet, all you need to know is that it’s faster, more secure, and has a ton more features. It’s the future of Check-Ins, and we’re really excited about what it can do.
On top of officially coming out of our beta, we’re releasing some really exciting label updates, including integrations with Planning Center People and Registrations, the ability to print birthday labels, supporting custom label sizes, and a few other quality-of-life updates.
1. People Custom Fields
Want to print specific information about someone on their label that’s not on their Check-Ins profile but is in Planning Center People? Well, now you can print anything your heart desires with our People Custom Fields integration. One of the most common reasons for this might be to print “NO PHOTOS” for someone who would not like their photo to be taken.
With the ability to print anything on a person’s account, your labels can now be as custom as you can imagine. And we can’t wait to see what you do with it.
2. Registrations Integration
Another common request we’ve added is the ability to print the Attendee Type from Registrations. For example, they can print whether that person is a student, a parent, or a volunteer. When this field is added, and someone checks into a Registration Integration event, it’ll print whichever Attendee Type that person signed up for.
On top of that, we’ve also given you the ability to add what add-ons this person has purchased. Both of these features will only work with our Registrations-connected events.
3. Birthday Label
Children love having their birthday celebrated, and we do too! With the new birthday label type, you can print an extra celebratory label when printed within a week of someone’s birthday.
Now, not only can a volunteer celebrate a birthday with Station alerts, but everyone at the church can celebrate when they see the new birthday label. High Fives for the whole day!
4. Custom Label Sizes
You can now print custom label sizes! When you create a label with a custom size, it’ll bypass all of our smart resizing and print that exact size no matter which printer you’re using.
Some smaller updates
We also added a few more updates to our label editor, such as better text resizing, shortcut keys, and a safer option for medical notes. If you’d like to stay on top of all the smaller updates, be sure to subscribe to our updates.
Happy checking in!
