Workflows are handy for managing recurring tasks, like following up with first-time visitors or managing a membership process.
Although workflows are handled by admins in your Planning Center account, you may want to empower more volunteers to help with a workflow step—without giving them full access to your whole database.
That's why we've created a new permission level in Planning Center People called "Workflows Only."
“Workflows Only” allows volunteers to log into People, but only view and edit the workflow cards assigned to them.
It's like giving someone access to your pantry instead of the whole kitchen.
Change profile permissions to assign workflow cards
Setting up “Workflows Only” permissions just takes a few clicks.
First, go to the volunteer profile you want to give access to.
Then, adjust their People permissions to "Workflows Only."
Finally, go to any workflow you manage, select "Add collaborator" and choose the person you want to add.
And just like that, your volunteer is ready to help support workflow progress without bumping into sensitive information.
If you ever need to remove a volunteer’s workflow access, you can easily revoke it by going to their profile permissions.
We're thrilled to see how this feature will help you empower more volunteers to assist with admin work and free you up to focus on other things!
To better workflow management,
💙 The People Team
