You have a lot going on—we totally get it! So instead of telling you about all of these releases one at a time, we decided to do a roundup of small but mighty improvements in Planning Center People.

Read on to learn how you can keep your data secure, communications easy, and day-to-day ministry work flowing smoothly.

1. Manage who can export CSVs and reports

We've changed how export permissions work in People. Before, all users in People could export CSVs and reports. Now, this ability has its own permission setting.

When you edit a user's permissions, you'll see a new option for Viewers and Editors called "Can export CSVs and reports."

Don't worry—we've automatically enabled this for all your existing users, so nobody will lose the functionality they already had. But you’ll have to enable it for any new users if you want to give them this permission.

2. Send bulk texts to specific profiles with Clearstream

When selecting specific profiles from a list, you can now use the Clearstream add-on alongside the existing options to send an email, text, or Church Center announcement. This makes communicating with your church community and teams that much easier!

3. Change permissions for notes

Get even more granular with how your team works together to manage notes! Now, any admin can receive "Manage" access to any of your custom note categories. This new permission means they can fully manage the note categories—like changing names, collaborators, and notifications—without needing to be a Manager.

This improvement gives you more flexibility in how you assign permissions and ensures everyone has the permissions they need.

4. Access form URLs easily

We've made it simpler for you to access form URLs. Previously, when you enabled the required login setting for forms, the "Embed" section (which contained the form URL) was hidden. We realized many of you were using this section just to grab the URL.

To make things easier, we've moved the form URL out of the "Embed" section so it's always accessible without having to hunt for it.

As a bonus, we've also added a unique QR code for each form that you can download and use in your communications materials. Let the scanning begin!

5. Track automation-created workflow cards

Who loves a good automation mystery? We don’t!

So we solved something that has puzzled many admins: Which automation created which workflow cards?

When automations from other products (like Calendar) add individuals to workflows in People, all new cards will link back to their source automation. No more wondering where that workflow card came from!

We hope these updates make managing your church community even easier. As always, we're working to improve your experience with Planning Center. So if you have any questions or general feedback, don’t hesitate to reach out!
