Giving statement season is here, and we've been working on something to help you connect more meaningfully with the incredible supporters who make your church’s mission possible.

More customizable formatting options for statement cover letters are now in Giving!

With these new formatting options, you can bring new life to your message, express your gratitude, and highlight what’s been possible through the partnership with your donors.

Here are the improvements you can expect to see when you’re writing cover letters for this year’s donor statements.

Rich text formatting

There are a few changes to how you can format and arrange your content. You can…

  • Bold things you want to stand out
  • Italicize anything you want to emphasize or drive home
  • Create an organized list with bullet points or numbers (kind of like this one 😉)

Link directly to things like inspiring video stories or impact reports in your emails. With one click, donors can dive deeper into the incredible work you're doing.

We've been listening, and we've made some subtle but meaningful improvements to your printed statements:

  • Refined line spacing. We've improved the line spacing to give your cover letter a cleaner, more readable look.
  • Better logo placement. For those #10 windowed envelopes, we've strategically positioned logos to maximize space and visual appeal. Logos are now positioned in the top-right corner of cover letters.

You can also easily exclude the cover letter from emailed and printed statements with just a simple setting adjustment.

Or… stick with your original preferences

We know every church is unique, so we’ve also kept things flexible—just in case you’d like to keep things the way they are!

If you love your current setup, nothing changes. Your default font sizes remain exactly the same—now called “medium” for email and “small” for print—and so does the logo placement for centered and left-aligned positions.

At the heart of it all, these updates aren't just about making your cover letters look good—they're about helping you tell your story more effectively, and making connections with the people who believe in the work you’re doing.
